I know. I'm doing something I said I'd never do - write a blog.
But, I've been doing quite a bit of thinking, and I've decided to go ahead and take the leap.
Why?
I've decided that I need some impetus to force me to actually do things like, I dunno, lost 50 or 60#, start exercising and cycling more, etc. At some point, I'm hoping other people actually see this, comment, and encourage. It's definitely not going to be fun if I don't have at least SOME people paying attention to me after all!
What else is a blog for, except an exercise in getting reader attention?
I'll also be posting/discussing other various topics, including various 'geeky' things like computer hardware and code for several applications I'm working on, gaming, Politics (which I can, at times, take very seriously), etc. The primary focus will be the Cycling and the Weight Loss goals, however.
Which gets us to the Blog 'name' - Cycling Down
This has many connotations, but the two that are most apropos, in my mind, are the geeky one - Cycling Down, or powering down, computer systems, and the more esoteric one relating to my goal of using Cycling as my primary exercise to lose weight.
